From the beginning we recognized that being a small family owned business gives us not only the privilege, but also the responsibility to be good employers and community members. We talked at length at what this means to us and how we would act on it. We made the decision to not only pay our employees a living wage, but to also eliminate a customer’s obligation to tip in the traditional sense. Instead, each month we will choose a local charity, organization, or cause to which any money that customers would typically leave as gratuity for the staff is donated.
This month’s charity is Youth Outlook.
